Dummy of the Day

This lowlight comes from a game that shouldn’t even have been played. The Atlanta Thrashers and Florida Panthers shouldn’t even exist. In my book, the NHL should have about 15 teams. But, I digress.

After Ilya Kovalchuk outhussled and outmuscled the Panther defensemen to slide one by Tomas Vokoun, Vokoun got slashed across the face by Keith Ballard, one of the defensemen that got outworked. So Keith, not only were you responsible for giving up a go-ahead goal, your stupidity led to your All Star goalie being wheeled off on a stretcher. To top it off, I don’t think he ever came back out to check on Vokoun! And for that, you win the first ever It’s Always Sunny in Detroit‘s “Dummy of the Day” Award.

Tim is the founder and author of It’s Always Sunny In Detroit. Born and raised north of "The D", he was hands down the fastest kid on the playground (go ahead, race him). In his glory days as a Big Ten baseballer, Tim often thought about dating Jennifer Love Hewitt. After he hung ‘em up and got real, he graduated from law school and came back to Detroit to keep it sunny. Tim knows his stuff – and his stuff is sports (the games), sports (the business), funny clips, pretty ladies...and of course, sports.
