Obama Throws Out the First Pitch in Washington

| April 5, 2010 | 2 Comments

I refuse to go all political. But, I won’t hesitate to analyze Barack Obama’s first pitch today at Nationals Park.

1. It was a wise, but obvious, move wearing the Nats’ jacket in their park.
2. But pulling out a White Sox hat? We know you’re from Chicago, BO. Us baseball fans also know that you butchered Mark Buehrle’s (Burley’s) name after he threw a perfect game last year. I wish I had video. Buehrle is a household name for baseball, let alone White Sox fans.
3. I love that he took a glove. NOBODY does that. It made it look much more natural.
4. What was with the quadruple pump at the belt? My goodness. It almost made me as uncomfortable as Bob Huggins stroking Da’Sean Butler’s cheek.
5. His arm? Two words: wet noodle. Both of my grandmas throw cheddar compared to the Prez. Shoot, Obama even makes Johnny Damon’s arm look adequate. I give him credit for going out there, but maybe just a wave from a suite would have sufficed.
6. Shaking the hands of the umpires and kids was a decent gesture.
Fun fact: Jimmy Carter is the only President, since 1910, to have not thrown out a first pitch on Opening Day.

Can I say this – How gay was that !?!?!
Not that there's anything wrong with it.
I know 5 year old girls who throw better than that with their opposite arms.

You can say that, but you shouldn't. Let's not stereotype.
