Top 10 Worst Soccer Dives in YouTube History
The World Cup has been upon us for a week now. The majority of games have been played during the work day, so it’s tough for those few interested Americans to actually catch any of the matches. If the schedule remains the same throughout, it’s hard to believe that “the world’s sport” will thrive like soccer hooligans want it to. One thing that has spread like wildfire is the art of the dive. Since three goals is an offensive explosion, players are all about accumulating as many free kicks as possible. Thus, they’ll do anything, ranging from kinda pathetic to downright embarrassing to secure a good look at the net. IASID gives you its ten worst soccer dives of the millennium:
1. This is definitely the dive that sparked the conversation. Italy-Paraguay. We’ll call this, “look ma, no contact!”
2. Wait for it…one thousand one, one thousand two…ok, now I’ll dive…
3. This is post dive. ”I’m sorry mate, but you’ve been caught.”
4. The pandemic has caught on so strong that even junior varsity girls are doing it.

7. Greg Paulus played basketball and dabbled in football. I think he missed his calling.
8. Gilardino tried to sell the ref some beach front property in Kansas. The ref wasn’t buying…the yellow was for the flop. Bravo, ref!

i think giradino was being flagged for the flop. that's why he got the yellow card, not the guy who slid next to him.
the ref was in fact NOT buying it.
on the first one he actually gets his achilles stepped on. you have to look closely though. still doesnt excuse the culture of diving in soccer. worst thing about the great sport.
i have to agree with the last post. If you freeze the at 5 sec you can see the toe of the other player catch the heel of the Italian.
