Lions lose because Calvin Johnson didn’t "process" the catch

| September 12, 2010 | 7 Comments

The Lions road losing streak reached 21 games this afternoon after they were completely hosed on the play you’ll see below. If anyone can give me a logical reason as to why this wasn’t a catch, please let me know.

What the dickens does it mean to say the receiver has to “process” the catch? That was the reasoning that Mike Pereira, the former NFL Vice President of Officiating, gave on Fox while it was being reviewed. Three feet, a left butt cheek and a forearm aren’t enough to be ruled down in the endzone?

Unfreakinbelievable.

This "process" the catch rule is like the "Tuck Rule." It was used once and it will never be used again.
