10 Best Shoe Commercials EVER

| January 28, 2011 | 8 Comments

Shoe commercials have never made me leave the house to go blow $120 on the latest kicks, but the good ones are some of the best ads around.  The It’s Always Sunny in Detroit research team dug through the depths of YouTube to accumulate the ten best shoe commercials OF ALL TIME.

10. I don’t care how much you dislike LeBron, he makes decent commercials…

9. Pump…pump, pump it up…

8. The best switch hitter of all time? Fila must’ve forgotten about Pete Rose and Mickey Mantle. Still, check out the pose at 0:14…

7. Who is more remembered: Penny or Lil Penny?

6. I’m gonna make you baaaad…

5. The staple.

4. This mash-up of randomness is at its best at 0:27 and 0:34.

3. The message is nice, but the math doesn’t quite add up. Does it?

2. I kinda think they took the idea from Gatorade (“Like Mike…”), but it brings back the days when the NBA was tolerable.

1. Turn up your volume for this one. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore…

Tim is the founder and author of It’s Always Sunny In Detroit. Born and raised north of "The D", he was hands down the fastest kid on the playground (go ahead, race him). In his glory days as a Big Ten baseballer, Tim often thought about dating Jennifer Love Hewitt. After he hung ‘em up and got real, he graduated from law school and came back to Detroit to keep it sunny. Tim knows his stuff – and his stuff is sports (the games), sports (the business), funny clips, pretty ladies...and of course, sports.
