The men’s hockey teams from Michigan and Ohio State are set to face off at Progressive Field, the home of the Cleveland Indians.  The game, set for mid-January.

It will be the third consecutive year that the Wolverines will play a game outdoors.  But, with Progressive Field’s 43,000 person capacity (with some additional seats most likely to be added), it will probably be the lowest attended game of the three.  The Skunkbears lost to the Wisconsin Badgers 3-2 at Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium on February 6, 2010.  They beat the Michigan State Spartans 5-0 at Michigan Stadium on December 11, 2010.  The Wisconsin game had an attendance of 55,031 and 104,073 were at the Big Hole in December.

The official announcement is expected to come tomorrow according to the Detroit Free Press.
