Alexander Ovechkin is dating Maria Kirilenko

Through 23 games this year, Alexander Ovechkin has a meager 18 points (eight goals, ten assists). Over his six previous seasons, he’s never had a season where he’s averaged less than a point per game. In four of his six campaigns, he’s put over over 100 points. He’s currently on a 65 point pace, which would be 20 below his career worst. Three of ESPN’s hockey “gurus” picked Ovechkin to be the 2011-12 NHL MVP. It won’t happen at this rate.

Now we’ve learned why Ovie has been misfiring. It’s a girl. It’s a really really hot girl. Tennis star Maria Kirilenko. She’s one of the hottest babes in women’ tennis. Ovechkin proclaimed his relationship with Kirilenko Wednesday over Twitter. As any man in their right mind would be, he’s very excited.


It’s obvious that Kirilenko is only with Ovechkin for his handsome nose, straight teeth and Stanley Cup rings.
