That’s a lot of fouls

The superstar treatment has been a long-standing phenomenon in basketball dating back to Michael Jordan’s days. “Jordan rules” are still prevalent today in both the NBA and college ball. LeBron James gets his far share of foul shots for defenders breathing on him. Opposing schools accuse referees of favoring the better college teams in the nation like Duke and North Carolina. But those are just opinions.

What isn’t an opinion (as evidenced by the scoreboard) is the superstar treatment that the Marshall Thundering Herd received against the Memphis Tigers in Saturday’s Conference USA matchup.

So Marshall was shooting two foul shots for 89 Memphis fouls and could only muster up 26 points?  Get your guys on the baseline, Coach.  Start running some suicides.
