It’s one of the better soccer traditions. Come to think of it, the only soccer tradition that I know of, but I think it’s cool. Following a match, players will exchange or give away their jerseys. AC Milan’s Sulley Muntari tried to give his jersey to a ballboy following their match against Chievo Verona on Tuesday. Muntari scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win.

Here’s the play-by-play from The Daily Rival:

After the match, Muntari, being that he’s a soccer player, couldn’t wait to take off his jersey. With his sweat-drenched No. 14 shirt in hand, he decided to give it to a young ball boy as he exited the pitch. Only problem is that this game was played in Verona, and it was more than likely this kid was a Chievo fan who didn’t want no stinkin’ Milan jersey — or at least not Muntari’s.

The ballboy tried to return the jersey to Muntari who looked at him like he was crazy.  I love the look of concern on the ballboy’s face.
