Red Wings fans make plea to free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Suter

With July 1st right around the corner (Sunday for those scoring at home), NHL front offices are gearing up to make their pitches to free agents.  Hunting season starts then and free agents are “free” to begin signing with teams.

The two biggest fish in the unrestricted free agent sea are New Jersey Devils winger Zach Parise and Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Suter.  Naturally, the interest in both of these guys will be enough to choke a proverbial whale.  The Red Wings are in the market to make a huge splash this offseason and are send harpoons after both.  Two Red Wings fans and their cool-looking chocolate lab cast their rods into the water in attempt to lure Parise and Suter.  The two are said to be possibly interested in being a package deal and signing with the same team.  The Wings have $20+ million available to spend, which is definitely enough to reel in both players.

Wings GM Ken Holland may just want to use this video when he meets with the kings of the sea.  And while you gander at this, I’ll go sit in the corner for all of my stupid marine life puns.
