Mic’d up fight during Chicago Blackhawks prospects camp
The Chicago Blackhawks were in the mood to entertain fans of the interwebs during their prospects development camp. They hooked up 2012 fifth round draft pick Garret Ross and had him troll other players looking for a fight. Free agent Chris Martin decided he was game and the sounds of their fistacuffs can be heard here.
I love the clarification before the gloves were dropped: “‘Do you want to go buckets off?’ I was like, yes please, I do not want to punch your helmet.”
As Puck Daddy points out, “The best moment of the clip, of course, was the post-fight conversation/instant review of their fight, in which the combatants decided they needed to “go again” to give the onlookers “something better than that.”
Take note, Gary Bettman. More mics = more interesting = more hockey fans…perhaps. The idea of putting mics on players definitely couldn’t hurt anymore than going “buckets off”.

By far the dumbest sport ever…. Pick one, fight or play hockey. Also, let me get this straight, these 2 could end up playing on the same team after an incident like this where one could get their career ended? smh, and looking like a couple of girls to boot. disgusting…
Typical response from someone who doesnt get it! Go back to watching polo and leave watching REAL sports to REAL MEN!!!!!
Dumbest sport ever? Really? So what do you watch instead? Fighting is apart of hockey, as the same as fighting is apart of kids at school, grown men who have a problem with another on their front lawn, at a lacross game, at a football game, at a baseball game, at a bar after a few drinks, bewteen parents at a little league world series game. My point is, your thought process in why hockey is the “dumbest sport ever” is voided by every other national sport has fights as well, and atleast in hockey, its legal. You talk about career ending but these individuals that make it to the NHL and some in the AHL are paid more then you or I will make in a lifetime. Shut up, sit down get some hot-coco, and watch the snow fall from a mountain.
LOL at ice boxing being a real sport. I will leave watching “REAL sports to (sudo) REAL MEN” because I’m not a spectator. I’m a red blooded USMC battle tested, mix martial artist with a 5-2 record who WILL win the ADCC. You go ahead and and watch your figuring skating flunkies doing their sissy boxing. Looks like a bunch of females from the hood taking off their accessories and pulling each others clothes while throwing faggy looping punches.
“Shut up, sit down get some hot-coco, and watch the snow fall from a mountain.”
seriously???? WOW…
Fighting is part of hockey like trolling is as well. weak. I wouldn’t even call that a fight. How about prove you have talent and can play a sport and a little less proving you can slap box like a power bottom homosexual on ice. It was cute how they gleefully fell on each other. “Oh, look what happened on accident. We have to meet like this again naked later, you down?” “You know it, bro!! smooches.” I have no problem with hockey, the stamina and strength it takes to do it is impressive, let alone being able to skate with control. The ice dancing, that you call “fighting” is just too much. You want to fight, get a square one going in the back where you can solve whatever needs to be solved on solid ground. Slap boxing on ice just to entertain drunk people is a waste. Just play the damn game.
usmc battle tested? so you can shoot a gun. whoopdie fricken doo. can you skate, probably not. what a weiner
Spoken like a true MARINE retarded and makes no sense.
You don’t like hockey, it’s all good, but don’t throw around your mma and military record like it means anything. I’m a 20 year Army man here and muay thai fighter, big deal for me too. Again, you don’t like hockey or understand it either, but if you don’t like hockey, just go somewhere else, there are plenty of mma videos you can watch.
The dumbest sport ever is where of bunch of trash talking, whinny, over-paid thugs run around in their 1920′s swimsuits and talk about how they’re oppressed because of where there ancestors came from… a.k.a. basketball. They’re almost as big a group of pu$$ies as the guys who dress in pads from head to toe and cry to their mommies when somebody plays too rough. In hockey, when you talk trash, or play too rough, you better be able to back it up with your fists.
as an ex enforcer I see the need to fight in hockey. but in training camp, and asking first ? you fight because you are mad, and he did something that deserves a response. If the refs did their job, less need. think they are not good skills, but hoping to impress coach with enforcer skills? see fewer fights in rugby, yet a rougher sport.
