“I Love You Denard” music video

As if Michigan alum Pat Stansik had not made his feelings toward Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson when his song was released a couple months ago, there is a creepy video to couple with it now.  Stansik wrote the lovesong lyrics and the band Mind’s Eye joined the songwriter’s obsession by recording it.

I get jokes.  I get being a fan of male athletes.  I get dreaming about being certain male athletes.  Derek Jeter?  Sure.  Justin Verlander?  Yep.  But, this may or may not have been taking it too far.  Surprise, Robinson’s off-campus address just went unlisted.  The number to his iTelephone – changed.  He’ll now be checking into visiting hotels as Schmenard Bobinson – pulling out all the stops to stay out of the grips of Mr. Stansik.

This song brings up a question I’ve wondered now for a long while: Is this what they mean by being a “Michigan man”?

  1. Pat Stansik says:

Just to clarify, I’m not in the band Mind’s Eyes, and neither is Zack Novak. I wrote the song lyrics and the band recorded the song.
