Zach Randolph helps rescue pitbull
Zach Randolph is a strong rebounder. He has a nice little jump hook turning to his right shoulder. He’s known by some as Z-Bo. He is a pit bull advocater. Randolph has offered to help nurture a certain pit bull back to health.
The Memphis Grizzlies forward is offering to pay for the care, food and adoption process for a pit bull who was recently rescued from a drain pipe in Memphis. This particular pit bull was found 15 feet into a drain pipe after a woman and her daughter heard the dog crying. Public work employees used a backhoe to break the pipe and remove the dog. Animal rescue advocates estimate that the dog would not have survived many more hours in the pipe.
Then it was Randolph’s turn. Z-Bo has arranged for the dog to be cared for at Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans, a a 50,000 square foot facility that cares for between 150 and 200 pit bulls on any given day.
The dog’s rescue story and Randolph’s participation will aired on the Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls and Parolees.
