The t-shirt that Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was so proud of in the ESPN commercial for Monday Night Football is now on sale at Ford Field.  If you remember the commercial, you remember the shirt.  Stafford had a t-shirt made with an airbrushed image of himself on it.  Immediately following, he was eating lobster for dinner and asked the server for a bib to protect said shirt.  You remember.  ”It’s my new shirt.”  Here it is in case you don’t.

Now Stafford’s new shirt can be your new shirt.  They hit the team store at Ford Field Sunday.  Stafford was caught off guard by the popularity of the shirt when he was doing the commercial.  He gave the shirt back when the shoot was over.  “I apparently wasn’t thinking,” he joked. “I didn’t know it was going to be so popular.

Stafford’s teammates are even excited about the t-shirt.  “I can’t wait to get one of those lobster shirts, I’ll tell you that much,” center Dominic Raiola said. “That was one of the better commercials I’ve seen.”

Raiola might be in a little better spot to get his hands on one of these shirts and not just because Stafford’s hands are on his backside every day.  The t-shirt, while funny contains absolutely zero superpowers, has a $40 price tag.
