Oakland A’s 2012 playoffs theme song

The Oakland A’s seem to be a team of destiny as they swept the Texas Rangers in the final three games of the regular season to claim the American League West title.  They will head into the playoffs as the second seed in the American League and square off against the Detroit Tigers in the AL Divisional Series starting Saturday.

They’re a team of misfits.  Their most notable players are a Cuban rookie (Yoenis Cespedes), a former Red Sox prospect who was acquired via trade (Josh Reddick) and a former White Sox prospect whose potential seemed to have faded (Brandon McCarthy).

But hey, they’re in and they have a chance.  And they’re legit because they have a theme song.  Performed by The Baseball Project’s Scott McCaughey, their theme is entitled “They’re the Oakland A’s.”  Yes, they are and here it is…
