The Dallas Mavericks are apologizing to their fans for trotting out the broken down versions of Vince Carter, Shawn Marion and Elton Brand by having their dance team frolic in white sparkly bikinis.
The Dallas Mavericks Dancers’ uniforms made their debuts this past Saturday at the Mavs’ home opener. The fabric-challenged gear was the hit of the show as the Mavs beat the…ah who cares who the Mavs beat (or if they even played)? They say that everything’s bigger in Texas. And they are liars.

I think they need to leave a little more for the imagination. I think of basketball as a game that I should be able to bring my kids to and I would have to reinforce morals and values into my 3 daughters’ prior to and after the game. These ladies are in a position where they can be people for younger girls to look up to, especially those interested in dance and sports. To me, these outfits don’t represent that.
The pom pom got smaller and the uniforms got smaller. All they need now is to add a pole.
#1- the girls don’t have a choice of costumes. Those are typically selected by the male owners. #2 They can’t be comfortable to dance in. My daughter was on a dance team for several years. Unfortunately, dressing like a porn star helps sell tickets. Really kind of sad. Mark Cuban should be ashamed. Of course- the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the Lakers girls started it all- it’s not like it is new- but still…
When I look at them I get hungry. I wonder if any of them are good cooks away from the game?

Needing women to dance/cheerlead around no matter what they are wear (of course wearing less is worse) is an issue in itself all together if you think about it? Its ok for everyone to watch because it is apart of a sports game but if it is at a club or whatever then it becomes ADULT entertainment. Its all about MONEY which is what and how this society justifies things.
Its wrong
It’s all about money. They’re selling it just like a prostitute, but giving out less and making way more. The entire sport depends on ticket sales…exploiting these women and playing on the “never gonna happen” fantasies of men. Soooooooo sad.
