Lolo Jones responds to “Sexiest Athlete” list with tactless tweet

Some athletes embrace being labeled “sexy” – especially guys who can’t seem to get out of their own way *cough, Mark Sanchez, cough*.  There was a list compiled by Business Insider of the 50 Sexiest Athletes alive – comprised of both men and women.  And while I would never (ever ever) guy a dude sexy, I have no issue agreeing that Tom Brady and Reggie Bush are decent-looking fellows.  Bryce Harper – not so much.  Anyway, I digress.

But naturally, I tuned in to see who they ranked among the hottest females.  And for my money, they included the major players.  USA women’s soccer star Alex Morgan finished as the fifth sexiest woman/tenth overall (deserved better), tennis princess Maria Sharapova was named the second sexiest female and fourth overall and U.S. Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones finished as the sexiest woman/second overall (to Brady).

Miss Jones wasn’t so gracious when she received the news that she’s Business Insider’s sexiest female athlete. She responded through Twitter, but you can almost hear her saying it.

Darnit Lolo, we all know that girls’ butts don’t work – especially the hot ones.

How can we tell her tweet was in response to the “Sexiest” news and not just a general, random notification of flatulence? I thought it was funny, either way.

Trust but verify. Thanks. But why was it “tactless”? The “honor” is a joke, and she took it as such.

It was clearly a joke…that is, her being named to any kind of list regarding anything sexy. With zero chest, zero butt, and kinda cute face, I don’t know how she even made the list. And for her to be the top female with soooo many deserving female athletes out there, the whole thing is clearly a joke so her response is right in line
