Crazy brawl in the Southern Profesional Hockey League(VIDEO)

The Mississippi Surge and the Huntsville Havoc, both of the Southern Professional Hockey League, provided us with a brawl for the ages over the weekend.  Late in the third period, with Huntsville leading 3-2, a brouhaha began in front of the Mississippi bench and quickly escalated onto the Mississippi bench.

The video is 3:53 long and I recommend that you sit tight and watch the whole thing because just when you think the players have had enough, they go back at it.  The best part of the whole video is the play-by-play guy’s confusion.

The guy who started it, Mississippi forward Branden Kosolofsky (referred to as a “complete jerk”) by the play-by-play man, racked up 29 of the 129 minutes that were divvied out.  Here is the breakdown of the penalty summary as seen on Puck Daddy.

Penalty Summary

For the record, the SPHL has existed since 2004 and we believe it’s high-level beer league quality.
