Kari Lehtonen’s Save of the Year candidate (VIDEO)

Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson had Stars goalie Keri Lehtonen beaten for a split second.  Johnson’s wrister hit Lehtonen in the trapper, tipped up over the goalie’s shoulder was headed for the net when Lehtonen used his go-go gadget reflexes to reach behind himself for a backhanded snatch.

It was part pitcher-fielding-a-comebacker part magician, but it’s definitely the prime candidate for save of the year.

Great snatch.
