Usually the highlights that involve pretty passes are saved for football and basketball games.  But Thursday night against the Bruins, Sabres winger Thomas Vanek provided one of the better passes you’ll see in this shortened NHL season.

With the Sabres losing 3-2 late in the second period, Vanek found himself in front of the net with Bruin defenseman Andrew Ference on his back and Ennis to his left.  Marcus Foligno fed Vanek, who controlled the puck momentarily and had enough wherewithal to hit Ennis on the tape while being shoved from behind by Ference.

Ennis slammed it home to tie the game at three and the Sabres went on to win 7-4.  Vanek tallied a hat trick and two assists on the night.
