Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski selling Chicago home for $1.75 million (PICS)

After eight years with the White Sox, A.J. Pierzynski will suit up for the Rangers in 2013 where he’ll get to agitate the American West teams more often.  Pierzynski turned a career-best year of hitting .278 with a career high 27 bombs and 77 RBIs into a one-year $7.5 million deal.  On a one-year contract and at 36 years old, AJP isn’t likely to play a whole lot longer.  But should he return to the Windy City, he will have to look for a new residence.

Pierzynski bought this three-story brick home in 2006 in his second year with the Sox.  It’s now on the market for $1.75 million. And like the home owner, the home doesn’t come with much glitz and glamour and would never find itself on MTV’s Cribs.  It can be found at 2139 N. Clinton Avenue in the “heart of fab Depaul.”  I’m guessing A.J. wrote that himself.

And even if you don’t want to cough up the cash to take the pad off Pierzynski’s hands, you at least have a target for those extra eggs you have lying around…

Here are pics of AJP’s brick house…literally.
