Linda Cohn worked her tail off, but Ken Griffey, Jr. wanted absolutely nothing to do with this interview Wednesday afternoon. Griffey appeared on SportsCenter in a promo spot for Upper Deck. To her credit, Cohn brought the energy from the word go. To nobody’s credit, Griffey came off like a wet napkin. A wet napkin with chicken wing sauce all over it. A wet napkin with chicken wing sauce and a hole in it.
It’s beyond awkward. I don’t think anyone would have faulted Cohn for wrapping it up early, but she plunged on – making Griffey look more foolish with every question.
LOOK ALIVE, GRIFF.
Griffey later apologize for how he came off the interview.
Tim is the founder and author of It’s Always Sunny In Detroit. Born and raised north of "The D", he was hands down the fastest kid on the playground. In his glory days as a Big Ten baseballer, Tim often thought about dating Jennifer Love Hewitt. After he hung ‘em up and got real, he graduated from law school and came back to Detroit. He has been keeping it sunny ever since.
