On Monday against the Colorado Avalanche, Sidney Crosby put on a conniving little display equivalent of a nasty crossover dribble in basketball. With Crosby stickhandling with his back to him, Avalanche rookie Nathan MacKinnon was trying to stay between Crosby and the net.
Crosby faked going toward his right, but went left instead. MacKinnon left to clean his jock up off the ice and needing his ankles taped. The hockey elite call them “dangles.” I call “them” nasty.
Crosby and MacKinnon have a history as they both attended Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Fairbault, Minnesota. Crosby attended in ’02-’03 and MacKinnon in ’09-’11.
Tim is the founder and author of It’s Always Sunny In Detroit. Born and raised north of "The D", he was hands down the fastest kid on the playground. In his glory days as a Big Ten baseballer, Tim often thought about dating Jennifer Love Hewitt. After he hung ‘em up and got real, he graduated from law school and came back to Detroit. He has been keeping it sunny ever since.
